SUNDAY SNOWDAY

Here is some content for you and your family!

Viewing Interruptions as Opportunities

Though we may not be able to gather in person this Sunday due to the snowstorm, the church is still alive and active! Being the church isn’t just about attending a service, it’s about growing in faith, encouraging one another, and reaching our community.

In this devotional from Pastor Jordan, we’re reminded that interruptions are often opportunities rather than inconveniences. Proverbs 16:9 tells us that while we make plans, God determines our steps. Just as Jesus was interrupted throughout his ministry and used those moments to minister, we too can embrace life’s disruptions as chances to trust God, grow in faith, and serve others.

On this page we have put together a number of resources you can use if you so wish. We hope they are an encouragement to you as you rest at home today.

Below you will find:
- Videos for toddlers and elementary aged kids
- Questions & activity sheets to do with your children
- Last weeks sermon
- An overview of the book of Nehemiah
- Spiritual Gifts Tests
- A prayer practice

FOR KIDS

Early Childhood

Questions to Engage Your Child:
In Jesus’ story, who lost all their money and was nervous to go
go back home?

What did the father do when he saw his son had come home?

Who does God love no matter what? How does that make you feel?

What are some things that help you remember God loves you no matter what?

FOR ADULTS

In Case You Missed It

Here is a audio recording of last weeks sermon in case you missed it. You can also find it anywhere you listen to podcasts (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Other...).

An Overview of Nehemiah

Here is a video that will give you a greater understanding of Ezra and Nehemiah.

The Gospel in Ezra-Nehemiah

by Tim Keller

This is one of my favourite series on Youtube. Tim Keller outlines where you can discover the gospel in each book of the bible. Here is his video on Ezra and Nehemiah.

Spiritual Gift Test

On February 9th, Pastor Jordan encouraged everyone to contribute to the building of God's Kingdom at Milton Baptist according to their giftings.

Here is a brief test that might help you better understand your spiritual gifts.

Please know, this is just a tool, it is not as extensive as it could be, nor is it the final word on who God has made you.

Spiritual gifts are best discovered in community and through study of God's word. That said, something like this may be a helpful resource.

AN OUTLINE FOR PRAYER

On February 10th, we hosted a prayer meeting. Feel free to use it for your own time of prayer.
