Philippians - Four Characteristics of Jesus-Centered Relationships
January 19, 2026

In Philippians 1:3–11 Paul shows us what a thriving, Jesus-centered community looks like. The bond between Paul and the Philippians wasn’t built on preference, convenience, or shared interests but on the gospel itself. They partnered in the work of Christ, shared in His grace, grew in love that moved toward others, and pursued holiness together. This is the kind of community the New Testament envisions — not spectators or consumers, but participants committed to the advance of the gospel and to one another. Paul’s prayer invites us to become that kind of church today.
